It has two million pieces of colored stone and a full 25×6 meters in its original state- most of which still can be seen .Clearly visible on the remarkably detailed map are Jerusalem ,the Dead Sea, the Jordan River ,Jericho, Nablus, Hebron , the Nile Delta in Egypt and southern Lebanon.
Then drive to Monte Nebo you will be able to rest on the natural balcony chosen by God for his prophet “Moses” to contemplate the Promised Land since it is the same site of Moses’ view of the Holy Land more than 3000 years ago. Mount Nebo became a place of pilgrimage for early Christians from Jerusalem. Mt. Nebo offers a fantastic view westward, with a vista that includes the Dead Sea, the West Bank, the Jordan River, and , on a clear day, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
Then continue to the Dead Sea which is considered one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the whole world. It is the lowest point on earth, and the world’s richest source of natural salts, hiding wonderful treasures that accumulated throughout thousands of years. Free time for swimming , dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dead Sea
After breakfast , continue to the Baptismal site it is an archaeological World Heritage site in Jordan on the east bank of the Jordan River, officially known as Baptism Site “Bethany Beyond the Jordan“. It is considered to be the original location of the Baptism of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist and has been venerated as such since at least the Byzantine period . Then drive to Mukawir After breakfast .
Then drive to visit Mukawir site , The fortress Machaerus was originally built by the Hasmonean king, Alexander Jannaeus (104 BC-78 BC) in about the year 90 BC, serving an important strategic position. Its high, rocky vantage point was difficult to access, and invasions from the east could be easily spotted from there. It was also in line of sight of other Hasmonean (and later Herodian) citadels, so other fortresses could be signaled if trouble appeared on the horizon.Nevertheless, it was destroyed by Pompey’s general Gabinius in 57 BC, but later rebuilt by Herod the Great in 30 BC to be used as a military base to safeguard his territories east of the Jordan.
Upon the death of Herod the Great, the fortress was passed to his son, Herod Antipas, who ruled from 4 BC until 39 AD. It was during this time, at the beginning of the first century AD, that John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded at Machaerus.
After the deposition and banishment of Herod Antipas in 39 AD, Machaerus passed to Herod Agrippa I until his death in AD 44, after which it came under Roman control. Jewish rebels took control after AD 66 during the First Jewish Revolt. Shortly after defeating the Jewish garrison of Herodium, the Roman legate Lucilius Bassus advanced on Machaerus with his troops and began siege in AD 72. An embankment and ramp were created in order to facilitate Roman siege engines but the Jewish rebels capitulated before the Roman attack had begun. The rebels were allowed to leave and the fortress was torn down, leaving only the foundations intact.

Known as the Jabbok river in the bible. It was mentioned in Genesis in a context related to the story of the meeting between Jacob and Esau. . Then continue to Anjara to visit the lady of mountain Church , It is believed that Jesus Christ, his disciples, and the Virgin Mary passed through Anjara in the hills of Gilead once and rested in a cave there during a journey between the Sea of Galilee, the Decapolis Cities, Bethany Beyond the Jordan and Jerusalem. The cave in Anjara has long been a holy place for pilgrims and has now been commemorated with a modern shrine, the Church of Our Lady of the Mountain. The cave was also designated by the Catholic Churches of the Middle East as one of the five pilgrimage sites for the year 2000. Then continue to Gadara the capital of the Roman province of Peraea. It stood on the summit of a mountain about 6 miles south-east of the Sea of Galilee. ( Mark 5:1 ) and ( Luke 8:26-39 ) describe the miracle of the healing of the demoniac ( [ Matthew 8:28-34 ] says two demoniacs) as having been wrought “in the country of the Gadarenes,” thus describing the scene generally. The miracle could not have been wrought at Gadara itself, for between the lake and this town there is the deep, almost impassable ravine of the Hieromax (Jarmuk). It is identified with the modern village of Um-Keis, which is surrounded by very extensive ruins, all bearing testimony to the splendour of ancient Gadara.
